In a desperate bid to regain a place on the Yankees’s starting roster, Alex Rodriguez has ordered his uniform pants taken in by several inches in the seat area. “I’ve got buns of steel,” he said, “but my pants have stretched and Joe Girardi has obviously forgotten.  I can do more for this team styling at the plate than other players can do with a dozen run-scoring extra-base hits.”
