Man, I love that building. It’s such a great gateway to the heart of the city. Next time you’re in Los Angle-ese (ha! humor me!) let’s meet at Union Station and then take the subway to Pershing Square before we head on over to lunch at Cole’s.
I love it, too. When I worked a lot in Los Angeles, while based in New York, I often traveled between the two places by train — board Thursday morning, arrive Sunday night . . . basically a long weekend on the train, with time to write and read sans interruptions. Highly civilized. Starting out or arriving at Union Station or Grand Central was part of the romance of it all. Look forward to meeting you at Union Station the next time I’m in town!
